Okay this is one of my all time BIGGEST pet hates!

It really bugs me when i go to a website and see something like send me an email to MyWebsite@hotmail.com or another free email service, using your domain as an email address makes your site look a lot more professional, and can increase user trust.

It isnt hard, and you dont have to change you email there are a few different options you can do, forwarders, email accounts and using email accounts and forwarders combined with your free email provider.

Forwarders:

Forwarders are very easy to set up, all you have to do is login to your cPanel, select forwarders enter a current email address and all mails is passed on (forwarded) to that account. EASY!

Email Account:

This is simple, just create an email account and use it!

Nice and easy set up an email account find some email software you like and get going.

Now many providers also enable you to both send email from hotmail which appears to come from forwarder, so when you set up a forwarder email, which directs mail to mywebsite@hotmail.com, you can recieve it but then also reply from you@mywebsite.com making you look all the more professional.

And for those of you would prefer your free email providers email interface, most will let you use your XDnet email account so you can send and receieve email from that.

Okay, i love my music, cant live without it… now more i work at the radio station more you can apprieciate a good flow with music…

Anyway was playing with my Windows Media Player settings and decided to turn on the Crossfading so now it should smoothly fade into the next song (set to 2 Seconds) but no, my computer which i point out isnt that bad compared to the average cant do it.

Its like theres a drunk presenter… the sound kind of wobbles, and dips for the cross over and its ALL WRONG… Just doing my head in. Just turned it off…

Right well yesturday (or today because stupid thing didnt publish at right time) i published a blog about top ten books i would fancy writing.. and i have kind of started one today…

I started to write a guide to basically everything you need to make a website, i plan for it to include everything from setting up local server, getting hosting, learning html/css and even PHP mysql, Seo everything, plan is to try and get everything i know, and more with research, about websites to try and teach people how to make and maintain a decent website, so i guess we will see how it goes, no doubt will take a while and i hope i can keep going back and revising it making it better… who know maybe it will be published if its any good, but once i am reasonably happy with it i think i will maybe sell it as a eBook or something or maybe just blog it all but we shall see.

Ignoring the fact I am a crap writer unless i have gone over whatever i have written a million times (notice all the Spelling mistakes and grammatical errors on this blog) i would still love to write some books… mainly because i would just love to see something bound and printed which i have written… but here’s the top ten ideas i can think of which i would like to get down on paper… or keyboard or is it screen…

1. PHP guide.
2. Autobiography
3. How to make a website 101 (obviously have to think of a different name, that’s probably taken! lol) [this would also include how to use html/xhtml/css and everything in one!]
4. Website Tips, this would be basically what it says, a kind of guide on how to make your site better and would probably be just general advice for web persons.
5. Hates, okay from the title your probably wondering what i mean, i am hoping to start a pet hates website, which users can add what really annoys them etc, i have the domain, but i dont have the site… yet… but this could be one of those books with just a combination of the most interesting pet hates i always find those kinds of books fun
6. Hacks for Noobs, Now I’m not 100% clear about this but i think it could be interesting, now as i am sure many of you will know, there are a few videos on YouTube, or little tutorials etc with hacks for everyday objects, i think it could be great to get that in a book, just a collection of little hacks you can do at home! lol.
7. Computer Care for Noobies! - Its important! … unless your paying me to fix it of course!
8. What i hate about the world, okay this would just be one HUGE rant.. think clarkson… but with a supped up computer and PHP…
9. How to pack out a “Top 10″ list for beginners… can i get a copy of this XD
10. How to run a successful blog… was that one pushing it? okay.. maybe one day when i have one myself! lol.

I just noticed as a logged in, i started this blog back in September 2007, so i guess its coming up to a year, and by my count this is my 51st post… so much for one every couple of days :p

I guess i am not much of a blog writer, I really do need to start honing my skills more, as i am good at alot of thing.. problem is i seem to do ALOT of things so nothing (other than Web Hosting) gets full attention, so it is never finished or done to a high standard (more recently because I’m focusing on hosting :))

All good fun though, and i am starting college in September, and i am doing a Triple Btec Computing (Software Development) which will no doubt bring up more tech stuff i can blog about… probably a few rants about annoying tutors!

One day i will have it all…

So how many, YouTube Gods come Web Host come tech support come radio presenters come radio technicians come music master come writers do you get? …

one life time really isnt long enough is it :p

Okay, so i seem to go in an out of phases of using iPlayer and 4oD one minute im using them religiously and others i seem to never use them or watch TV, So i am on the religious phase at the moment and 4oD is simply doing my head in!

Not only do you have to login everytime you want to watch it, unlike iPlayer,  but Channel 4 hasnt yet seem to have mastered the VERY SIMPLE cookie system which has been around for many years…

SAVE MY FREAKIN’ LOGIN!! GAH!! Everytime i have to login it does my head in!

Okay, so this is going to be one of those random little posts…

I have this huge Disney Nightmare before christmas mug, which i brought in Paris… Yea, that’s right that’s my poor attempt at showing off!… anyway have this mug, which is huge, and i have had about 3 mugs of Tea today and somehow i always seem to have a small amount of tea left, and i always notice this when its all cold and rank! Where does this come from? and it always seems to be the same amount…

Thats right, i have finally found myself a reasonable domain reseller, so i can proudly say XDnet is now in the domains business, providing cheap domains.
